AMPShare brings 34 brands together on the 18V Bosch Professional battery. On a job, the members that matter are FEIN and Bosch Professional for power tools, Rothenberger and Klauke for plumbing and electrical, Wagner and Titan for painting, Steinel for heat and glue, fischer for fixing. Any 18V Bosch Professional battery sold since 2008 fits these tools.
What the alliance claims
The AMPShare battery system provides compatibility across more than 35 brands and more than 430 tools, and is constantly expanding.
The alliance's figure counts brands worldwide, including some you will not find in your country. The list below, taken from the AMPShare website (ampshare.com), has 34. For 18 of them the partner listing names the compatible tools; for the others it only introduces the brand, and we add nothing.

What we already compare on this battery
Only one machine in our scored comparisons runs on AMPShare: the Bosch Professional rotary hammer, scored in our 18V SDS-Plus rotary hammer comparison against the other platforms. The genuine battery, for its part, works with every tool on the list.
The other Bosch Professional tools in our comparisons are not AMPShare tools: the brand is a member, these particular models have no 18V battery.

Traps to know about
Blue Bosch and green Bosch do not mix. The official AMPShare FAQ says so plainly: AMPShare tools do not work with 18V Power for All batteries, the green consumer range. The detail is on our three alliances page.
Red or grey, it is the same battery. According to the alliance, Bosch Professional batteries are red, those of the other alliance brands are grey. The alliance guarantees compatibility across all of them, whatever the colour.
Member does not mean the whole catalogue. A brand can sell corded tools, tools on AA cells or on another battery alongside its AMPShare range. The tool has to carry the AMPShare mark, not just the brand.

Frequently asked questions
Do my older 18V Bosch Professional batteries without the AMPShare mark work?
Yes. According to the official AMPShare FAQ, 18V Bosch Professional batteries and chargers work with every AMPShare tool, and AMPShare batteries work with 18V Bosch Professional tools and chargers sold since 2008.
Will a green Bosch battery (Power for All) fit an AMPShare tool?
No. The two systems are incompatible, as the alliance confirms: the green range targets DIY and garden, the blue range the jobsite.
FEIN, Rothenberger or Wagner: do I need another battery?
No, if you already own an 18V Bosch Professional battery and the tool carries the AMPShare mark. A bare tool, sold without a battery, is enough.
